First set starts with a standard Suzy into the new My Friend, which has a very rough intro section. Paul is good, Reba has a sloppy middle section. Brother is Brother. Here's where more Page would help, Tela, dedicated to Amy for her birthday, was a very loose, almost arrogant version with a ripping Trey solo at the end. Parts of Chalkdust were cut. Tape flip? Bouncing is standard. Rift is weak in the first solo section. Magilla is nice and something more rare and different. Solid Antelope to close.
Mike and Trey chatter before second set. Mike introduces the next song as "Ain't no time", and Trey mentions that he picked out Mike's new hat, and something about "bass fever". Anyway, Maze is a good way to start out, although Page is on piano again for his solo. Not as good as the organ in my opinion. Gin is good, YEM is where the real magic is tonight. The vocal jam into Chariots of Fire is hilarious! Segway into the Horse is weird but, what can you do after a YEM vocal jam? Rough start to Silent and they still haven't gotten rid of the falsetto vocals in it. ATR has a false start by Trey, Dinner has a false start by Fish, Trey wasn't ready. Hood also has a sloppy intro, and some of the middle parts. Weigh gets better every time. The Fish intros during Terrapin are funny. Chris is introduced as Tommy Lasorda, and Mike is in the baseball minor leagues? Also some girl in the crowd gets to pick between a Love song, or a Vehicle song, prompting Page to remark, "Love your vehicle." I'm assuming Bike was the other option. Poor Heart is solid, ending with Trey saying "We're going to Minnesota!"
Again, the encores were missing from the bootleg I heard.
Good show just for the Chariots vocal jam!
