MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 94

Welcome to Mystery Jam Tuesday here at Phish.net. Apologies for the delay, but we're making it up to you with four meaty minutes of Mystery Jam goodness. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Friday Answer: Congrats to docgonzo1972 for correctly guessing the 6/20/04 "Twist." The Mystery Jam hopes to return to a more regular schedule on Monday...

Same here. Guessed Melt 12/31/99 right away on a hunch, and the end of it before Catapult sounds similar, but I don't think I'm right.

Indeed. Nice. One might have spent 2004-2009 arguing that this was the last great show. So happy they're back, especially with today's announcement of my first birthday show in my home town!

uctweezer @andrewrose you definitely should've gotten this one, especially after posting a review of this exact jam!: http://phish.net/setlists/?d=2004-06-20

Purple_Humpback_Whale Sounds like a Disease or Runaway Jim

nematode sounds like a gin to me, like 99 or 2000.

mcgrupp81 Hell, I was at that SPAC show and didn't recognize the jam. It isn't often that you get to see Page's dad tap dancing.
, comment by NickSalv
NickSalv '04, either Runaway Jim or some type of Disease jam

In case anyone is wondering, this is the part of the jam review that references the snippet featured in the MJ...

"The groove that Trey pulls out at about 10 minutes, after Fish comes down and stops ... Page picks it up and then we`re in this disco-ish zone, think 12/31/99 SOAM meets the end of the 8/10/97 Cities jam. Trey throws in a Seven Belowish-lick at about 12:30 and Page is layering gorgeously. Fish is bringing it up and down with slick high-hats really quick. FISH AT 16:30! Mike so solid under him, and we`re in old-school Gin peak mode. 17:22 sounds like the Went Gin. This is undoubtably the moment I was yelling "it`s the Hhhhhhhhhose!" and people everywhere were losing it. And Trey just keeps pulling it! Page right with him high. So high."

kipmat Nice one. I was really thinking this was a DWD from Summer '03.

spocksbrain Sounds like Gin to me... I can see the twist from saratoga 2004...but I haven't possessed/heard that show for a long time even though I was there. It was a great 'final' tour but I think I unconsciously try to block it out of my memory.
