MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 102

Welcome to the 102nd running of the Mystery Jam here at Phish.net. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to Prof. Pauly9717, Emeritus for nailing the 12/4/96 "Mike's Song." Yes, with his 7th win, Pauly will be joining Rabeldy in the faculty lounge looking down on the rest of you for your extreme Phish noobtardery. Look for a Pauly-curated MJ in the coming weeks.

mcgrupp81 For those into annivesaries, don't forget to give Red Rocks 94 a listen tonight. Still my all time favorite YEM.

MomaDan game's spent now, second week in a row that the answer has shown up in the first hour

uctweezer God damn pauly you're quick. I *knew* I had this one in my collection and thought I'd start poking around early '97. Oh well, nice job!

MiguelSanchez Damn, one of my all time favorite "over shadowed"shows.

mcgrupp81 The way I see it, there is always somebody who hears it, and either immediately knows it and posts their answer, or has a good idea and is able to post a bit later. If pauly7917 gets on it early and nails it, then kudos to him. He hasn't reached Rabedly status yet and nothing is stopping you from upping your daily diet of Phish. I guess it's nice to win, but you are winning when Phish.net exposes you to stuff you haven't heard or haven't heard in awhile. It reminds you how many great jams Phish has had and hopefully will continue to have. Continue on with the jams!

docgonzo1972 I love knowing the answer sooner rather than later. Now I can go listen to the whole jam and groove the rest of the work day. Thanks, Pauly!

metawhy If you can't run with the Big Dogs, better stay on the porch!

WayIFeel I was pre-occuppied today and wasn't able to listen to the MJM until late night. I gave it a listen and thought '96 then read the comments. Sure enough it was '96 and Pauly got it. Well done Pauly. At least I know what show I'll be listening to tomorrow morning at work.

Next weeks MJM is mine. I'm feelin it. Hint hint '98 west cost tour.
