In episode one of After Midnight, Jesse Jarnow brings in new interviews with Trey, Fishman, Paluska and others to help answer the following questions: Why did 75,000 Phish fans endure an 18-hour traffic jam to see Phish in the Everglades? Why did Phish make 75,000 fans endure a massive traffic jam to see them? What were Phish doing in Florida in the first place?

spirittapper20 The best night of Phish of all time ...easily...!! I know I'm not the only one , but i felt I never HAD to see the band again..what more could they do ?...they did everything they could for our souls that night.. I would see the band as many times as possible , but it was only bonus Phish from that point forward...I have not been the same person since that night.!!!...in a great way.....thanks Phish

unoclay I got the chills hearing the part where they tell how Chief Jim Billie took them over the reservation in the helicopter. Such a great breakdown of how it happened.

MomentsandSeconds 1 minute in, I had to stop it. Thank you Trey.
We were on that quiet side of the wall. What he described is what I've felt since that moment. You could hear and feel the cacophony of sound on the other side. People were going NUTZ waiting for the Midnight set. It just sounded totally insane. Like nothing I'd ever heard before after going to over 100 shows. I still remember like it was yesterday.

Ataraxilla This is so amazingly awesome, especially coming right as Long May They Run ended.. It's like an extension of that basically. Wouldn't it be fantastic if something else pops up right after this ends, like an exploration of Fall '97 or the Baker's Dozen or I-don't-care-what, just keep the deep dives and interviews with the band members and other folks coming. So grateful for these podcasts.
