Review by DollarBill

DollarBill This is the only show at the Moon. Seventeenth show of the tour and pretty average overall. Great recording and minimal sound problems tonight. Paul had to tweak Mike's sound as he and the kick drum were really boomy early on.

The recording I heard had most of Rift cut off, so pretty good opener I guess. Guelah contains the first Secret Language explanation of the year as they are breaking new ground again geographically. Guelah itself was pretty well played. Poor Heart was good and still has the little extra tag on the end of Page's solo. Maze was rocking, but they had a little off spot at the end. Fee had a rough intro, but was otherwise good. Sparkle was so fast by the end that they actually had a breakdown. A good Foam and Cavern make up for that. IDK brings out "the Friar, little Jon, Tubbs, Goodman" for a trombone solo. Bowie had a few rough spots in the composed section, but the jam was good. Not too bad of a first set, just average though.

Nice Jim to open the second set. This one was pretty dynamic in the middle. Ice was good, maybe a few spots here and there. Pen was standard for this tour. Tweezer was rocking, but not too adventurous. Unfortunately, pretty common for this tour, Trey pulled himself out of tune so, Glide suffers a bit. YEM was good and had a really funny vocal section where they tease multiple songs. They have been doing this lately. This is the first Oh Kee Pa of the year and it's well played. Llama was pretty standard and rocking. HYHU brings Fish back out for the HATEFUL band intros. Funny stuff here as they go into a fast Love You. It almost sounded like Fish was teasing Over the Rainbow for a second during his vacuum solo. Great banter about Fish's nick names too. Yay! Trey is going to tune before Coil! Pretty average Coil and Page solo tonight. The expected Tweeprise closes up another average set.

Everybody gets shushed for Amazing Grace, and then Trey thanks Paul for the sound reinforcement on it. Fire is rocking even though Trey flubs the lyrics a bit.

Not too bad overall, but also, no real stand outs tonight. I would also give this one about three and a half stars.
