Review by TheEmu

TheEmu Suzy goes heavy into DEG territory, but is also fairly lackadasical. The jam in the Curtain isn't THAT bad, I guess, but it's not good, and Trey calling it "A Living Nightmare" and blaming the whole thing on Fish is pretty funny. Funky Bitch is also pretty rough, although Fire and Axis are not too bad. I really don't care for these early, slowed-down version of Forbin's, and the Mockingbird isn't too awfully sharp. What else can I complain about? Oh, yeah...the trombone solos in McGrupp will just NEVER sound right to me, even though I love horrible Fishman solos. The 'Grupp is decent, though, along with the Alumni, but overall this set doesn't get me too excited. 2 stars for The Living Nightmare.
