Review by SplitOpenAndMule

SplitOpenAndMule I agree with Dollarbill's overall review, though I think the highlights elevate this show above others of this time period. I'd add that Trey really rips apart The Arrival in Fluffhead, it sounds like it might be a tapping solo to hit as many notes as he does, all in time. The jam chart entries are worthy, as Stash does include some unique full-band vamping, Mike's Groove is strong with great, weird, carnival-sounding, dynamic, and vocal playfulness, the Weekapaug Groove -> Mango Song is a really excellent segue, and with Horn and the Fish bit, you have a full segue bulk of the 2nd set. So that's nice. Also, the Mockingbird narration is one of the best to date, with some very funny aggressive yelling in Icculus.
