Until early 1990, “Reba” featured an additional section sandwiched between the opening lyrics and the instrumental composition that follows it in versions since 1990. Trey combined this section (which some feel was too rockin’ for “Reba”) with lyrics by Blues Traveler’s John Popper, and produced “Don’t Get Me Wrong.” All three performances of the song featured Popper on vocals and harmonica. The first two (as a set opener both 10/6/90 and 10/8/90) were relatively quick and dry, even timid, but the third (introducing a hot “Funky Bitch” on 12/28/90) was a strong performance, although the tune was never heard from again.
